For five generations, the Henry family has been making tableware and bakeware in Marcigny, France. True to tradition all Emile Henry pieces are carefully crafted from Burgundy clay, found naturally in the region. The mineral-rich clay is combined with 100-percent natural ingredients to create a product unsurpassed for even heat distribution. Through the unique Ceradon process, each piece is fired with an extremely durable glaze that gives the finished product a naturally non-stick surface- which will not scratch from use or cleaning. All Emile Henry product is freezer, oven, broiler, microwave and dishwasher safe. Ideal for baking desserts or small entrees, this square baking dish is a functional and stylish. The simple, yet classic shapes of the pieces are further emphasized by the vibrant colors and deep hues of the glazes. Because of the Ceradon manufacturing process, you can cut directly in or on them without worrying about scratching the glaze. Plus for the ultimate in convenience all of Emile Henry's table and bakeware can go directly from freezer to hot oven and into the dishwasher when finished. Each piece is made in France

I love the emile henry bake ware. It bakes everything evenly and my guest are always impressed with the final product. This dish also cleans up with ease. The Cerise red is an amazing color, deep and vibrant, and looks wonderful on any table for any occasion. I strongly recommend this product, along with any of the other pieces in this collection. You will not be disappointed.

Emile Henry ceramic style cookware has been one of those kitchen items that really "changes" things. Before, we were using various types of baking dishes - glass, other ceramics, etc. - that we bought mainly because of the price. What we have found using Emile Henry "bakeware" is that the same dishes we made in other less quality bakeware comes out significantly better using Emile Henry. So much so that I would say it is not even a comparison. The lasagnes, casseroles, and things as simple as mac & cheese are so much better it is kind of hard to believe really. Emile Henry provides even heating, avoid all the issues with burnt bottoms/tops, cooked on the outside but not the inside, overdoing noodles, etc. I would highly recommend this line of products. Another item that was so much better were the homemade pies and breads. What a difference - and well worth th money. The only downside is they are ceramis and somewhat fragile if not handled properly - so can chip if dropped or banged hard against something - but only to be expected.

This is a wonderful baking dish. Very modern and yet fits in with all kinds of decor. Easy to use and easy to clean. Appreciate it's finish as food doesn't stain and one can use any kind of utensil. I've recently begun purchasing various Emile Henry products and wish I had done that years ago as they are worth their extra cost.
