Product Description
Enamelware small oval roaster with high fitted lid with raised oval rings on the bottom to let juices flow and prevent sticking. Outside dimensions are 7.75" X 10.75", inside dimensions are 10.25" X 7.25". Roaster stands 3" high without the lid and 6" high with the lid on and has curled edges. It has 2 2.25" wide off-center handles and a small 1.5" recessed handle on the top of the lid. For small poultry and roasts about 3 pounds, for turkey see the seasonal D87 Turkey Roaster. Oven, freezer, and dishwasher safe. High quality steel construction with a baked on porcelain enamel finish in 2 coats results in a slightly textured finish. The naturally non-stick surface makes it easy to clean. Enamelware is not intended for microwave use. Dishwasher safe, do not leave in standing water.

By R. Schilling
I ordered this in the red marble. Love the color. Unfortunately I was not able to receive one with the black rim. I think this would have really added to the overall look of the roaster. I also had to order the matching spoon at Cherry Creek Cottage, where they have an ENORMOUS amount of this same marbleware, all kinds of pieces, and the owner is super helpful. She even called me within an hour of my inquiry email. On a Saturday! She got both size spoons, measured the 'bowl' part of each spoon so I'd know how much the spoon would hold, went in the back and got this same small roaster, put each spoon in the roaster to see how well each fit, and how much of the handle hung over the rim. (The 12" spoon gives you about 2" of overhang making it the better choice, while the 8" almost sits in the pan). Amazon did not sell the spoons when I bought the roaster, so I looked elsewhere online to purchase it.Truthfully, I would have ordered this roaster from her had I not already ordered it on Amazon.Maybe I'd have gotten the 'black rim' on it, but I knew I was taking a shot here, nothing guaranteed. Now, I have no problem with the supplier of this roaster I received from Amazon. It arrived in a decent amount of time and was extremely well packed. And I do love Amazon, and all that involves them. The roaster itself is cute as a button, but make no mistake. There is no way you can roast a standard supermarket sized chicken in it unless the chicken is on the small side. And no way you can put potatoes or carrots in with the chicken unless you pile them on top of the chicken. Or squish them in tightly around the sides. And even then, you might not be able to put the lid on. The inside measurements I got were: 10"x 7.25". The depth of the bottom part is: 3", and the lid measures 2". (Not counting the little "hook" you use to lift off the top). So, you'd have about 5" of interior cooking height....it'd better be a small chicken or roast! But it's actually fine for cooking small meals for 2. And you could just cut up the chicken into pieces, or buy a smaller roast. And of course, it would be perfectly fine for stews, etc. You can work around the size. And I plan to. I actually really really like this little roaster. (Don't things always seem larger in pictures?!?). It will look nice on my table. Also, no sharp edges. All the edges are 'rolled' nicely so no cutting your hands on it.Another thing the owner at Cherry Creek Cottage warned me about was not "clanking" the spoon on the bottom of the roaster. As with any marbleware, you can chip off a piece of the enamel. So while it's not super delicate, you can't just smack a spoon in it or thrash it around in the sink like a regular pot. I did not know this about enamelware.Even so, I would have still bought it, and I'm happy with it. The red is such a pretty cherry colored red.Happy Happy.UPDATE: Cooked a small roast in this, and I mean small! Had poured some olive oil over the meat along with seasonings. Roast came out beautifully, but it did start to "fry' a bit in the olive oil and therefore some of the oil spattered on the inside sides of the pot and 'crusted'/burned onto it. Was worried I would ruin the finish trying to clean it/scrape it off. Let it soak overnight in hot water and the 'crust' all but peeled right off the enamel in one long piece. A nylon scrubbie, with hardly any effort, worked on the leftover bits of crust. Cleaned up wonderfully.

By Rowin' along
This little roaster is a well made and cute. Just to look at it you want to cook something. Reminds me of Grandmom's kitchen. The size is compact and efficient for small roasts and birds that get lost in standard size roasters. I am so glad I treated myself to this precious little pan. Jayne from Cape Cod
