I've had this knife for about 6 months now. It was a bonus item when I order one of the pans so of course I took it. I have another Santoku style knife that I love but for the deal another couldn't hurt, right? Well this one is much lighter than my original one, it cuts extremely well and while the grip felt a little odd to me at first (compared to the one I was used to) I find that I really like it. So, cuts great, lighter and easier to maneuver and comfortable to hold. I find it is the one I reach for most often. Win - win.

I've used this knife for over a year and it has performed very nicely, up until the inner plastic handle broke. Now it is held together by the urethane outer grip but broken on the inside. If the knife had a full metal tang all the way to the tailpiece, it would be really nice but the handle is truly just plastic. I do not mind the orange color, it kind of grew on me. Now if I can just find out how to use the limited lfetime warranty hopefully they will replace it. It did perform as well as much more expensive knives but it lacked the durability. The soft grip is great for extended use.

This knife chops very well but does NOT cut or slice very well at all. Perhaps it isn't built for that but I thought it was.
